Jade Goody dies – i was never a huge fan

As you may see from the original post below, I was never a great fan of Jade Goody. Nor her family to be fair. That being said, she has fought a brave battle with cervical cancer recently and sadly, she lost that battle earlier today. I do not wish death upon people, and despite not caring much for Jade’s career path, I still admire her bravery and feel sad for both her and the family. In the same way that I would feel sorry for any poor young girl who has been taken by this terrible disease.

My only other comment on this matter is that people should also not forget the many thousands of other people who suffer in silence each day with this awful disease and unfortunately, they are not in the position that Jade was, in being able to leave their family plenty of cash and a lifetime of financial security. So, lets not forget them either.

If anybody has been touched by Jade’s fight (and the frankly distasteful newspaper reporting, which has bordered on the grotesque at times), then my advice would be to make a donation to Cancer Research or one of the other charities that take great care of people when they are at their most vulnerable.

My own mother passed away with cancer a few years ago now, so I have witnessed first-hand how the people and their families suffer and the great work that Macmillan nurses did to make my mum’s final days as comfortable and dignified as possible. Whenever possible, I donate to cancer charities and have done much fund-raising for this cause.

May Jade Goody now finally rest in peace, and please for the sake of dignity and privacy, let the family mourn without the constant press intrusion.

Original Post – Entitled: Jade Goody’s mum has a facelift

I was just watching a programme on TV where Jade Goody’s mum has had a facelift and several other surgeries. Why on earth spend all that money making over an otherwise ok person, yet her daughter, the fake celeb, looks facially identical to a pig?

Why not take some of that money she is earning and invest in some kind of plastic surgery for herself. I have yet to meet an uglier girl in all my life than Jade Goody. Its not like she is only suffering in the looks department either. She doesnt have a discernible talent to her name. She is just another one of the growing brand of “celebrities” that are famous just for being famous. Its bloody ridiculous!

I know one particular friend who can play guitar, play drums, play bass, juggle, perform conjouring tricks, impersonate almost any TV personality, bend 4 inch nails with his bare hands (try it.. it aint easy!) and the list goes on. Now this particular guy, his name is Billy, has been on TV many times over the years due to his many talents and has also presented TV programmes in the past, by request. So why is it, with all these talents, he doesnt have a job on TV as a presenter, yet Jade Goody is making literally millions for being thick. And lets face it… she even takes the piss out of herself because she is thick. Great talent that, isnt it!

I wonder what this world is coming to when people can be famous just because the public are bombarded with them on TV, in magazines, on the internet and in the newspapers. So, theoretically, I can bare my arse outside Buckingham Palace and be famous next day? Dont laugh….. if Jade can get on TV each day with that face, my arse stands every chance of making me famous.
