What is it with people these days? Why do they always have to make a huge deal out of everything? We are becoming more like Americans every day.
I have noticed more frequently over the past few months, the word “journey” being used for almost any event that has happened to a person. Whats all that about?
“Well Joe, how does it feel to enter the singing competition and win?”
“Its been such a unique journey for me, I dont know quite know how to describe it”
No… its not been a journey ya daft git. Its been something that you have done, also known as an event or more elaborately as an “experience”…. how the sodding hell has it been a journey? Did you actually travel around whilst entering the competition?
People use words willy-nilly these days and dont understand what the words actually mean, or more likely, dont give a shite. Get a grip people and use the english language in the way it should be used and stop substituting random words to replace others.
